Reserve Management Plans are produced by Council to outline the future use, management, and development of reserves.
During early engagement in 2017, the community gave us their ideas and suggestions on what they wanted to see in the Reserve Management Plan for The Point Reserve, Ngaruawahia. These suggestions were carefully considered and where possible, included in the draft Reserve Management Plan.
This management plan will be kept under continuous review to ensure that it is appropriate and relevant for The Point, with a comprehensive review taking place every five years.
Council will be presented with all submissions that are made on The Point Reserve Management Plan (including Kiingitanga Reserve) Draft.
Consultation closed on Friday 29 March 2019.
The Hearings panel heard verbal submissions on 29 April 2019, and the finalised Reserve Management Plan was adopted by Council on 12 August 2019.
