Raglan Rugby Sports Club - Lease Application

Council has received a lease application from Raglan Rugby Sports Club Incorporated ('the Club') for a new 30-year lease for their Club building located on the recreation reserve known as the Raglan Recreation Centre on Cross Street, Raglan.

In accordance with section 59A of the Reserves Act 1977 and Part 3B of the Conservation Act 1987, Council must publicly notify the Club's lease application in order to understand the views of the public.

Please see their lease application for further information - linked on the right hand side.

Context and History

The Club's previous lease was granted on 01 January 1989 for a term of 33 years and 364 days and expired on 30 December 2022. They are now reapplying to continue their lease.

The Club constructed and owns their Club building and improvements which means that Council is only considering whether to grant a ground lease for the footprint of the building.
